The Producers Episode 5 Review

Cindy got stuck with PD Baek Seung Chan after none of the guys from the show’s cast chose her. It was a gruelling trek to the top of the mountain but Cindy and Seung Chan (or at least to Cindy’s side only) developed a closeness to each other.

When they got to the camp site, Cindy had no choice but to do all challenges Seung Chan gave her, even if it meant skipping dinner and going dizzy from all the circling around.

Feeling a tad guilty of Cindy’s misery, Seung Chan decided to comfort her a little by giving her the book he was saving to read before he sleeps. Cindy’s suffering from insomnia, you see, so the book is actually an apt gift.

Things still aren’t working on Cindy’s favor the next day when she gets partnered with Seung Chan again for a quiz game.

To make matters worse, CEO Byun intervenes to help Cindy save face.

I’d be miserable too if I were Cindy. On the other hand, she couldn’t have looked younger even if she tried in this pair of denim overalls and snapback hat. This look is so far from her very first outfit – the sheer one that Tak Ye Jin had issues about.

Meanwhile, Ra Joon Mo found out that Cindy hasn’t eaten all night from the punishment and also all morning. He berates Seung Chan for not having the foresight to cancel the game and give proper treatment to Cindy. But later, the camera man told Joon Mo that Seung Chan felt so sorry for Cindy, he also decided not to eat dinner and breakfast.

Okay, not such a huge fan of this ensemble on Ye Jin. She does layering so well but this just screams hospital garb to me.

Cindy decided to ingratiate herself further in the show’s team so she showed up at the team’s dinner party.

She chanced upon a make-up-less Ye Jin and immediately pounced on this flaw, much to Ye Jin’s anger.

Ye Jin’s music bank team decided to join the 2 days, 1 night team. One of her teammates revealed that Ye Jin said she berated Cindy the last time she broke the dress code. But Cindy denied something like that happened, causing more embarrassment to an already flustered Ye Jin.

And yep, the night was so bad, Ye Jin decided to drown herself in alcohol. After that, sappy, happy and child-like Ye Jin surfaced.

Also, behold the back of the night gown, err denim dress.

Ye Jin insisted on going to a tent café to have live octopus. Seung Chan and Joon Mo had no choice but to accommodate her.

Seung Chan and Ye Jin seem to have no recollection of the previous night. Even Joon Mo claims he’s too drunk to remember what happened.

Looks like Ye Jin’s really making chokers happen again. It definitely suits her usually ‘90s aesthetic.

Ye Jin sort of remembers confessing her love to Joon Mo. But she doesn’t know if Joon Mo’s sober enough to remember the confession. He contrived Seung Chan to find out more about Joon Mo sobriety that night.

Easily one of my favorite Ye Jin outfits so far. It’s so spring-appropriate and yet so very Ye Jin at the same time. Not overly girly.

Seung Chan used all methods he can think of to test Joon Mo’s memory of the previous. Joon Mo said he really couldn’t remember anything after the team party.

After hours of editing, Joon Mo told Seung Chan to get them something to eat at the nearby tent café. It was also the same tent café that they went to drink in the previous night. Seung Chan asked the owner if she remembers them being there the night before and the lady said yes. She remembered Joon Mo carrying both him and Ye Jin as they were both too drunk to leave.

Joon Mo was the sober one, after all. Joon Mo realized his mistake of sending Seung Chan to the tent café so he ran after him. But Seung Chan already put two and two together and knew Joon Mo was pretending not to know so it will not be awkward between him and Ye Jin.
